This book was born out of frustration — and hope.

Frustration at watching, year after year, Namibia’s State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) drift further from their mandates, not because of a lack of potential, but because of a lack of leadership. Hope, because I believe that with the right changes, these same institutions can still fulfil their promise.

Over the years, I have sat in boardrooms where silence spoke louder than words, watched capable leaders be sidelined in favour of politically convenient ones, and seen acting executives flounder without the training or support they needed.
